Makes me happy, color is on point!!
I picked this pretty orange polish for my granddaughter for Halloween. I was very happy when it arrived and was just the perfect color for the holiday.
I tried out six different nail polishes from ella+mila: a white, an orange (this one!), a yellow, a pink, a purple, and a blue. Of the lot, the only ones that came out relatively thick were the white (very thick) and the purple and this orange color (both medium thickness).
On the nail, this orange color is very pretty. I haven't tried it overtop white nail polish, which would make the color pop, but I have done two coats of just this nail polish. The orange color is vivid enough that you may only need one coat if you can manage to avoid streaks and are heavy-handed. Otherwise, you will need two coats, and you will need to wait 20-min for the nail polish to dry between coats or else chance more streaking and slight removal of the bottom layer of polish.
Is it worth the time commitment? Meh. Depends how good you are at painting your nails. If you're a beginner or haven't done it in years but know the process... maybe skip this one. Maybe skip this entire brand. It's difficult to work with and has a long drying time.
However, my boyfriend has to use 7-free or better nail polish products because otherwise he can "feel the polish on his nails," and this is one of the few brands with neon colors. I would use this orange nail polish again... but only if I was watching a 2-hr movie and willing to pause an intervals to touch up the nails.
Also--this color is matte. There is no gloss. If you want glossy orange nails like the picture, then you need to add a clear top-coat, which…
