Making your nail polish last is simple. The key is clean, prepped nails and proper application. Adding a thin coat of base coat allows for a smoother application and the adhesive your manicure needs in order to last longer.
Application: Apply on clean, dry nail for flawless nail lacquer application. Apply one coat to prepare nail bed for even and leveled nail lacquer application. Allow to dry, touch prior to lacquer application.
Ridge-filling: Apply two coats to help smooth the surface of the nail. Allow first coat to dry to the touch prior to applying second coat. Base coat will perfect imperfections of nail, such as ridges and discoloration.

I so my nails myself at home so all I use is this brand. I love this base coat so much that I always have to restock. It’s perfect under a sheer shade like BARE did the perfect French design or alone for those days where you just want to keep your nails simple. When I wear it alone I use 2 coats and finish it off with In. Rush top coat for a little extra shine or matte-ly in love for a matte look.
I love using ella+mila polishes but sometimes had my ridges showing through no matter how many polish or base coats. Cover Your Bases was my helper. I apply two coats, making sure my nails are clean and dry prior to first coat as well as thorough drying in-between coats. I find this also makes some of my nail polish colors simply pop, and I need fewer coats of polish to do it! :)
