The BLACK polish has great pigment! I only needed one coat to get the rich black color. Dries fast like all the other polishes do. The Red polish is shimmery like most of the kids polishes. It also has great pigment; only one coat was needed. Two coats gave the pure red color with shimmer. One coat makes the polish look kinda pinkish. Absolutely LOVE the colors
I haven’t tried the black yet. I have tried several of the Mommy colors and they are always amazing. It’s the Me that I am so impressed with. My two year old asks me to “color toes”, so I had to have something for a young kid. This is perfect. I have tried other non toxic vegan cruelty free options and they chipped instantly after drying. This one dries quickly, it chipped after about 3-4 days (long time for a hopping, skipping, jumping-off-furniture-when-mommy’s-back-is-turned toddler), the color is beautiful and vibrant (it really pops), and the brush when turned sideways is the perfect size for small toes. It would be hard on someone younger than two, I think. I use a qtip to wipe any off the nail accidents and after a bath, the color on the skin part is gone, while the toes look great! My two year old doesn’t chew toes (knock on wood) anymore, so that’s one of the reasons why I say ok to “color toes”.
This nail polish dries quickly and lasts longer than others on my nails. The colors don't always match what you see online, but I am still happy with this product.

No Place Like Home is a pretty maraschino cherry red with a little sparkle! This might be the most perfect shade of red I've ever owned! Lights Out has great coverage, and I love it with a top coat of Mattely In Love for a different look.
