First of all, you need to protect your nails with a base coat, one like our All About the Base or Cover Your Bases. Clean your nails, and make sure that they are dry before applying it - one coat should be more than enough, especially since a base is just the protective barrier between your nail and the black nail polish.
Once the base is completely dry, you can move to the next step, which is nail polish. Start with a straight line in the middle, and then fill it out on either side. Leave to dry and repeat the process if needed.
Once both coats of polish are on, you can finish off your manicure by applying a top coat.
